The Entrance

Given slight challenges with transport links we would recommend staying at a location near to an area known as The Entrance, which is about a 15 minute drive from the wedding venue.

This is a larger suburb with grocery stores, pubs & eateries, nice lake and beach scenery and water parks etc for kids.

Irma - Sarah's mum has gone and looked at accommodation in this area and can recommend The Waldorf.

Other Options

If you aren't staying in this area we would also recommend in no particular order:

Terrigal (most popular beach on Central Coast). Approximately 30-40 mins drive from venue. Lots of cafe's, pub, clothes shops etc and lovely beach walkway.

- Erina close to large shopping mall with good bus links. Approximately 30-40 mins drive from venue.

-  Avoca Beach (Sarah's favorite to swim at) about 40-60 mins drive from venue. Quieter family friendly suburb with a few places to eat, pubs and historic cinema.

Depending on your budget and needs as to what accommodation is best. Its is tricky to recommend.

www.stays.com.au is a website where people rent holiday homes. This could be a good option if there is more than a few people.

Otherwise a self contained rental unit would be a nice idea.

Please look at the map below for a few non-exhaustive options.

Helpful information

Groceries at the supermarket can be quite pricey especially for those accustomed to UK prices.

Buying a bottle of water, can of soft drink out and about is very pricey sometimes up to 3-4 dollars AU.

Eating out can be reasonably priced, it is not uncommon for Australians to go to a restaurant and just drink tap water, sometimes with a coffee at the end. Most restaurants are very accustomed to this.
